    A good start quickly fell apart on Sunday as the Tompkins Cortland women’s basketball team lost to Fulton-Montgomery Community College 100-61. Tompkins Cortland drops to 6-8 on the season while Fulton-Montgomery is now 10-4.
  • Upset Bid Runs Out of Steam for Panthers Women

    An upset bid ran out of steam for the Tompkins Cortland women’s basketball team on Saturday as the Panthers were forced to play most of the fourth quarter shorthanded, ultimately falling by a final of 63-54 to #15-ranked Mohawk Valley Community College Saturday. Tompkins Cortland drops to 6-7 on the season while Mohawk Valley improves to 10-3.
  • Panthers Drop Road Game at Jefferson

    A slow start was too much to overcome against one of the top teams in the region as the Panthers women’s basketball team lost at Jefferson Community College Sunday, 63-42. Tompkins Cortland drops to 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson moves to 12-1 overall and 7-1 in the MSAC.
  • Forfeit Win for Panthers Women; Men's Game Time Changed

    Finger Lakes Community College has forfeited the women's basketball game at Tompkins Cortland Community College scheduled for Saturday, January 20. The forfeit will be counted in the conference and regional standings for both teams, but will not change either team's overall record. As a result of the forfeit the Panthers are now 7-4 in Region 3 and 5-3 in Mid-State Athletic Conference, while the overall record remains 6-5.
  • Panthers Come Up Short Against Cayuga

    The shorthanded Panthers women’s basketball team came up just short against Cayuga Community College on Wednesday, losing 66-57. Tompkins Cortland drops to 6-5 overall and 4-3 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Cayuga moves to 5-8 overall and 3-4 in the MSAC.

    After winning at SUNY Adirondack on Saturday, the Panthers women’s basketball team lost at Hudson Valley Community College on Sunday, 86-58. Tompkins Cortland is now 6-4 overall and 6-3 in regional play. Hudson Valley improves to 7-4 overall.

    The Panthers women’s basketball team got back on track with a 65-38 win at SUNY Adirondack on Saturday. Tompkins Cortland is now 6-3 overall and 6-2 in regional play. Adirondack drops to 0-11 overall and 0-9 in region.
  • Panthers Open Spring Against D-II Monroe

    The spring semester opened for the Panthers women’s basketball team on Tuesday with a home game against Division II Monroe Community College. Cold shooting and foul trouble combined to doom the Panthers as the home team fell to the Tribunes 68-57. The Panthers are now 5-3 while Monroe improves to 5-9.

    A big third quarter and a big effort from Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.)  powered the Panthers women’s basketball team to a 64-49 win over North Country Community College Saturday. The Panthers improve to 5-2 on the season. North Country is now 4-6.

    The Panthers women’s basketball team returned to action Sunday after a lengthy break for Thanksgiving, dropping a home game to Jefferson Community College 84-67. The Panthers, who last played on November 18, drop to 3-2 overall and in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson improves to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the MSAC.

    The Panthers women’s basketball team led the whole way while picking up its second straight win, a 52-27 decision over Corning Community College on Thursday. Tompkins Cortland Community College is now 2-1 overall and in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning falls to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MSAC.

    Freshman Meadow Fann (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) scored 24 points to lead the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s basketball team to a 62-44 win over Cayuga Community College on Saturday, The road win improves the Panthers to 1-1 on the season; Cayuga falls to 0-3.
  • Panthers Women Host #8 Onondaga in Season Opener

    The Panthers women's basketball team drew one of the toughest opponents for its season opener on Thursday, hosting #8-ranked Onondaga Community College. The visiting Lazers came out strong and ran away with an 83-55 final, dropping the Panthers to 0-1 overall and in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga improves to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the MSAC.

    Binghamton High's Promise Myers has committed to the join the Panthers women's basketball program. A guard, she helped the Patriots to the Section IV championship. "She will have a strong defensive presence on the court," said Coach Jocelin Wright. "Promise is a true student-athlete bringing strong academics to go with her athletic excellence."
  • Newark Valley's Graham Joins Panthers Women's Basketball

    Newark Valley High standout Jasmine Graham has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to join the Panthers for the 2023-24 season. A guard for a Cardinals team that won the New York State Class B championship, Graham was a first team I.A.C. all-star and an honorable mention all-state selection. "Jasmine is a difference maker on the court who is resilient and never gives up," said Coach Jocelin Wright.
  • Binghamton Guard Signs with Panthers

    Binghamton High's Meadow Fann has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to come to Tompkins Cortland Community College and play for the Panthers. Tompkins Cortland Head Coach Jocelin Wright says she is excited to add the guard from the Section IV champion Patriots. "Basketball has always been part of her life. She is a playmaker whose skill set is a great fit. She is tough, has grit, and will be a great addition to the program. 
  • Panthers Women's Basketball Signs Forward

    The Panthers women's basketball recruiting class opened with the signing of Bethalin Robe, a forward from Yakama Nation Tribal School in White Swan, Washington. An all-league selection, Bethalin helped lead her team to States. "Bethalin has a bright future within our program," said Coach Jocelin Wright. "We look forward to seeing all of her accomplishments on and off the court!"
  • Wright Named Head Women's Basketball Coach

    Jocelin Wright has been appointed the head coach of women’s basketball at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She replaces Dave Stevenson, who retired after eight seasons leading the women’s program. Wright had served at Stevenson’s top assistant since 2021.
  • Dixon and Wilbur Named All-MSAC

    Tompkins Cortland Community College freshman Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) and sophomore Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) have been named to the Mid-State Athletic Conference all-conference team. The duo are among the ten players selected by the coaches from the six MSAC programs. Conference champion Onondaga Community College placed four players on the team, followed by runner-up Jefferson Community College with three. Tompkins Cortland, the third-place finisher in the conference standings, placed two on the all-conference team with the last selection coming from SUNY Broome.
  • Panthers End Season in Regional Quarterfinals

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s basketball season ended on Thursday with a playoff loss to Fulton-Montgomery Community College, 82-56. Tompkins Cortland ends the year with a record of 7-13. Fulton-Montgomery advances to the semifinals with a record of 19-0.
  • Women's Regional Playoff Game Rescheduled for Thursday

    Due to predicted bad weather, the NJCAA Region 3 women's basketball playoff game between Tompkins Cortland and Fulton-Montgomery has been pushed back a day and will now be played Thursday at 5 p.m.
  • Both Panthers Basketball Teams Qualify for Playoffs

    For the first time in ten years, both Tompkins Cortland Community College basketball teams have qualified for the postseason in the same year. The men are the #9 seed and will play at #8 seed SUNY Adirondack Sunday. The women?s team was awarded the #8 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region 3 tournament Wednesday at top-seeded Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
  • Wilbur Ties 3-Point Record in Regular Season Finale

    The regular season ended with a loss for the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s basketball team as the Panthers fell to Onondaga Community College 88-39. Tompkins Cortland ends the regular season with a record of 7-12 overall and 5-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga is 14-7 overall and champions of the MSAC with a perfect 8-0 record.

    Returning to Region 3 actin on Saturday, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s basketball team suffered a 75-45 loss at Herkimer College. Tompkins Cortland is now 7-11 overall and 6-8 in Region 3 play. Herkimer is 12-9 overall and 9-5 in region.
  • Rusty Panthers Fall Despite Dixon's Triple-Double

    Playing for the first time in nearly two weeks, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s basketball team took a long time to shake off the rust, eventually running out of time in a 47-43 loss to Ithaca College Club. Tompkins Cortland is now 7-10 on the season.
