Our student-athletes enjoy excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, most new in 2007. The athletics facility includes a 1,500-seat arena for basketball and volleyball, a high-quality field house for indoor training, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an expansive sports medicine area. Outdoor facilities new in 2007 include a lighted, artificial turf stadium with bleacher seating for over 750 for soccer and lacrosse, and new on-campus baseball and softball fields. Additionally, the college offers a six-lane indoor pool and outdoor tennis courts.


All students and staff have free access to swimming in the College's competition size pool. Community members can swim for a small fee. With over 30 hours of open swimming a week and another set of hours of water exercise classes and swimming classes, the pool is one of the more accessible forms of exercise on campus.

Fitness Center

Managed by the Faculty Student Association, the Fitness Center is open to Tompkins Cortland Community College students, staff and members of the community. Located on the 2nd floor of the Athletics Building, the Fitness Center is home to a large variety of cardio equipment which include treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, stationary bikes, rowing machines and a Jacobs Ladder. For strength training, the Fitness Center offers a full line of Precor selectorized equipment, Power Lift squat rack, Smith machine, CYBEX cable crossover, free weights from 2.5 to 120 pounds, medicine balls, kettle bells, body bars, stability balls, and resistance tubes.

Fitness Center memberships are free for Tompkins Cortland students who have paid the current semester activity fee. Community memberships vary in cost and duration. Rates or other information can be found by calling the Fitness Center at 607.844.6555 for details.


With the exception of golf, all of our athletics facilities are located on the main campus in Dryden. Directions to campus, along with the location of the fields, can be found through Google Maps. Use the "Parking" link for the best driving directions.
