The Panthers women's basketball team dropped its final game of the fall semester, 65-50 at Mohawk Valley Community College on Sunday. The Panthers stand at 3-4 overall and in Region 3. Herkimer is 6-5 overall and 6-2 in region.

The Panthers trailed 22-10 after the first quarter and were never able to mount a serious threat on the Hawks.

Cassie Doane (Candor/Owego Free Academy) led the team with 18 points. Michaela Jean-Philippe (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) was next with 13 points and Rylan Robicheaux (Lockport, La./Central Lafourche H.S.) finished with 11.

Looking ahead

The Panthers are off for the winter break. The team will next take to the court on January 9 at home vs. Jefferson Community College.
