The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball season came to an end Saturday in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 3 tournament as the Panthers came up short in their bid to upset top-seeded Herkimer College on the Generals’ home court. After leading much of the back-and-forth game, the Panthers just couldn’t finish the game out, falling to Herkimer by a final score of 83-75. Tompkins Cortland, the tournament’s #4 seed, ends the season with a record of 17-9. Herkimer advances to Sunday’s championship game with a record of 26-2.Full Story

Pugh Voted MSAC Player of the Year; Long and Samuels All-MSACThree Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball players have been voted to the Mid-State Athletic Conference all-conference team, led by MSAC Player of the Year Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.). Joining Pugh on the first team was Javonte Long (Harlem/Clayton H.S.) while Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School) earned a place on the second team. It is the second time in program history that three Panthers have been voted all-conference, and the first time since 2009-10 season.
