Wilk Named Head Coach at Keuka College; Macklin To Lead TC3One of the most successful coaches in Tompkins Cortland Community College basketball history is leaving the program to become a head coach on the NCAA level. Tom Wilk is stepping down after four seasons at TC3 and moving on to Keuka College. He leaves TC3 with the best winning percentage of any head coach in the program history, having led the Panthers to two Mid-State Athletic Conference championships and back-to-back Region 3 Final Four appearances. Tariq Macklin, a former player at TC3 who served as an assistant coach in 2024-25, has been named the Interim Head Coach for the Panthers.Full Story
Javonte Long Chosen for National All-Star GameRegion 3 Player of the Year Javonte Long has been selected to participate in the 2025 NJCAA All-Star game on May 17 in Las Vegas. The sophomore had previously been voted the Mid-State Athletic Conference Player of the Year, naming him the top player among the eight teams in the MSAC. The Region 3 award was voted on by coaches from all 16 teams in the region. Long’s TC3 teammate Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School) was also voted to the all-region team, marking the first time the Panthers have had two players voted all region since Tyseem Lyles and Devin Redden did so in 2013-14.Full Story
For the second straight year, the Panthers men’s basketball season came to an end in the NJCAA Region 3 semifinal round after they pushed the top-seed team to the limit but came up just short. This year the Panthers nearly knocked off the nationally #3-ranked Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks, falling short at the foul line in a 74-67 loss. Mohawk Valley advances to the Region 3 championship game on Sunday with a record of 25-1. The Panthers end the year 17-8.Full Story
After overcoming a slow start, the Panthers men’s basketball team pulled away for an 85-65 win over SUNY Adirondack in the Region 3 quarterfinals on Friday at Herkimer College. The #4-seed Panthers now advance to take on #1-seed Mohawk Valley Community College in Saturday’s semifinal. Tip-off on Saturday is at 3 p.m. at Herkimer College.Full Story
