Two teams and 15 individual Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
The men's golf and women's soccer teams were named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year for having a team GPA of better than 3.0.
Max Dydinski (Nichols/Tioga H.S.) was on the NJCAA All-Academic First Team, which is reserved for student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Andrew Allport (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.), Madison Camenga (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.), Sara Cargen (Homer/Homer H.S.), Tim Clifford (Watkins Glen/Watkins Glen H.S.), Nate Freelove (Corning/Corning-Painted Post H.S.), Gabby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.), Dylan Hardy (Monticello/Monticello H.S.), Mikey Koch (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), and Cody Sayre (Spencer/Spencer-Van Etten H.S.) each were named to the second team, which requires a GPA of 3.80-3.99.
Elizabeth Cobb (Cortland/Cortland Christian Academy), George Dickinson (Castleford, England/Ackworth School), Abby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.), and Frank Marra (Millstone Township, N.J./Allentown H.S.) were named to the third team, which requires a GPA of 3.60-3.79.
