A late rally came up short as the Panther women's basketball team dropped a 72-63 home game to Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Saturday. The loss leaves the Panthers with a 4-8 on the season. Fulton-Montgomery is now 4-6.

The visiting Raiders led 15-6 after the first quarter and 29-21 at the half. The margin spread to 49-36 after three quarters, and peaked at 20 points midway through the fourth. The Panthers cut the deficit in half with a few minutes left, and got to within seven in the final minute, but couldn't come all the way back.

Cassie Doane (Candor/Owego Free Academy) had 23 points and 17 rebounds. Michaela Jean-Philippe (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) added 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Thalia Jackson (Glendale, Ariz./Raymond S. Kellis H.S.) just missed a double-double with 11 points and 9 boards.
