  • Panthers Honored with Academic All-Region Honors

    Seventeen Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been recognized as Academic All-Region by Region III of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Adebodun Ademoyo (Binghamton/Seton Catholic H.S.), Brianna Allen (Marion/Marion H.S.), Megan Ball (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Kassidy Egan (Spencer/Spencer-Van Etten H.S.), Natasha Feocco (Newfield/Dryden H.S.), Jessica Fisk (Waterloo/Waterloo H.S.), Erin Harkenrider (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Madison Hartenstein (Newark Valley/Newark Valley H.S.), Kadija Hill-Custis (Syracuse/Fowler H.S.), Kaw Ler Hser (Brooktondale/Ithaca H.S.), Andrew McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Alexander Russell-Cook (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.), Joey Shufelt (Dryden/Dryden, H.S.), Joseph Tummino (Homer/Homer H.S.) Carmelina Vigliotti Martinez (Syracuse/Henninger H.S.), Breanna Wendel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), and Finn Wise (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.
  • Volleyball Team and 12 Individuals Honored for Academics

    One team and twelve individual Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Panthers volleyball team was recognized as one of the 2019-20 Academic Teams of the Year, and NJCAA All-Academic honors were given to Jessica Fisk (Waterloo/Waterloo H.S.), Adebodun Ademoyo (Binghamton/Seton Catholic H.S.), Brianna Allen (Marion/Marion H.S.), Kassidy Egan (Spencer/Spencer-Van Etten H.S.), Natasha Feocco (Newfield/Dryden H.S.), Erin Harkenrider (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Kadija Hill-Custis (Syracuse/Fowler H.S.), Kaw Ler Hser (Brooktondale/Ithaca H.S.), Alexander Russell-Cook (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.), Joey Shufelt (Dryden/Dryden, H.S.), Carmelina Vigliotti Martinez (Syracuse/Henninger H.S.), and Breanna Wendel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.). Fisk is a repeat All-Academic selection; it was the first time for the rest.
  • Newark Valley's Jordan Stiffarm Signs with Panthers Volleyball

    Jordan Stiffarm is the first member of the Panthers Volleyball recruiting class of 2020. The Newark Valley senior signed her NJCAA National Letter of Intent to start at Tompkins Cortland this fall.
  • Panthers Volleyball Season Comes to A Close

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball season came to a close on Saturday with the Panthers taking part in the Region III Pod hosted by Genesee Community College. The Panthers took part in three matches, dropping each in straight sets. The Panthers end the year with a record of 3-18.
  • Panthers Volleyball Goes the Distance at Cayuga

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team played just its second five-set match of the year Monday, going the distance before losing 3-2 at Cayuga Community College. The Panthers are now 3-15 overall and 0-6 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Cayuga is 1-23 and 1-5 in conference.
  • Panthers Host Jefferson in Home Finale

    On the night the Tompkins Cortland volleyball team recognized its five sophomores, the Panthers played host to Jefferson Community College in the team’s home finale. The home team put up a valiant effort against the powerful Cannoneers team, but ultimately fell in straight sets, 25-6, 25-13, 25-19. The Panthers are now 3-14 overall and 0-5 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson is 22-4 and 5-1.
  • Panthers Volleyball Tops Niagara in Regional Pod
    October 05, 2019
    For the third time in four Region III Pods this year, the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team finished a Saturday with a record of 1-2. This time the Panthers were the host for the Pod, losing to Erie Community College, beating Niagara County Community College, and falling to Jamestown Community College. The Panthers are now 3-13 on the season.
  • Panthers Play Well, But Lose to Finger Lakes

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team put together one of its best performances of the season Wednesday. Unfortunately, for the Panthers, it came against one of the best teams in the region, and it came up just short. Hosting Finger Lakes Community College, the Panthers were swept by score of 25-21, 25-23, and 25-13. Tompkins Cortland is 2-11 overall and -0-4 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Volleyball Winless at Broome Pod
    September 28, 2019
    After picking up wins in each of the last two Region III Pod meets, the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team came up winless in the Pod hosted by SUNY Broome on Saturday. The Panthers lost to SUNY Adirondack, North Country Community College, and Hudson Valley Community College to drop to 2-10 on the season.
  • Panthers Volleyball Goes 1-2 at F-M Pod
    September 22, 2019
    For the second straight weekend, the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team went 1-2 in their Region III Pod matches. Playing at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, the Panthers lost to the host school and to Herkimer College, but ended the day with a win over Mohawk Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 2-7 overall and 2-6 in Region III competition.
  • Slow Start Too Much to Overcome for Panthers Volleyball

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team couldn’t overcome a slow start Tuesday, falling to Onondaga Community College in straight sets. The Panthers drop to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga improves to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Volleyball Goes 1-2 at Onondaga POD
    September 14, 2019
    The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team earned its first win of the season Saturday, beating Cayuga Community College in straight sets to close out a day of three Region III matches. The Panthers dropped the first two matches, both in straight sets, to Jefferson Community College and Onondaga Community College. As a result of the day’s action, the Panthers are now 1-4 overall and 1-2 in Region III competition.
  • Panthers Swept by Strong Broome Team
    September 11, 2019
    The first road trip of the season brought the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team to the home of one of the top teams in the region. Playing at nationally ranked SUNY Broome, the Panthers were swept 3-0 to fall to 0-2 on the season. Broome is now 7-2.
  • Panthers Volleyball Opens Season at Home
    September 04, 2019
    With a roster featuring nine freshmen, it was expected that the start of the season would be a learning experience for the 2019 Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team. The process started on Wednesday with the Panthers hosting Corning Community College for the season opener. While the Panthers lost in straight sets, the hope is that the team can take some positives from the night and look for better results in the future. Corning had already played a match before Wednesday’s match with the Panthers – the Red Barons are now 1-1 on the year.
