Panthers Volleyball Goes 1-2 at F-M Pod

For the second straight weekend, the Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team went 1-2 in their Region III Pod matches. Playing at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, the Panthers lost to the host school and to Herkimer College, but ended the day with a win over Mohawk Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 2-7 overall and 2-6 in Region III competition.

The Panthers started the day with straight-set losses to Fulton-Montgomery (25-17, 25-16, 25-18) and Herkimer (25-19, 25-19, 25-11). But for the second straight Saturday, the Panthers finished the day on a high note, this time beating Mohawk Valley in four sets, 27-25, 25-23, 9-25, 25-17).

Molly Baker (Newark Valley/Newark Valley H.S.) led the way for the Panthers all day, finishing with 22 kills, 22 digs, 11 blocks, and 5 aces. Natasha Feocco (Dryden/Newfield H.S.) dished out 41 assists and pulled up 14 digs while Erin Harkenrider (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) recorded 14 kills.

This Panthers return to action Saturday at the Broome Pod.
