    Fifteen Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Region 3.
  • Jacobson Earns Golf All-Region Honors

    Tompkins Cortland Community College golfer Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.) earned all-region honors at the NJCAA Region 3 Championships held on Monday and Tuesday at the Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst. Jacobson followed up his opening round score of 86 with an 82 and a tournament total of 168, good for 13th place. With the top 15 golfers in the region earning all-region honors, Jacobson’s becomes Tompkins Cortland’s first all-region golfer since 2018. Patrick O’Neill (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) posted scores of 87 and 91 for a tournament score of 178. O’Neill finished in 24th place, seven strokes out of all-region consideration.
  • Two Panthers Compete at Regionals

    Two Tompkins Cortland Community College golfers took part in Day One of the NJCAA Region 3 Championships on Monday. In addition to crowning the regional champion and individual all-region winners, the two-day tournament hosted by Niagara County Community College at the Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst serves as the qualifier for the NJCAA national tournament. Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.) carded an 86 on day one, with teammate Patrick O’Neill (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) just a stroke back at 87. At the midway point ofn he tournament, the cut line for all-region consideration was an 85, leaving both Panthers in contention heading into the final round on Tuesday.

    Tompkins Cortland Community College sent two individual golfers to participate in the Herkimer College Tournament on Saturday. Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.) tied for third among all golfers with a 73. Harrison Conn (Marlboro/Marlboro H.S.) finished with a 96.
  • Jacobson and O'Neill Earn All-MSAC Honors

    Tompkins Cortland Community College golfers Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.) and Patrick O?Neill (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) earned all-Mid-State Athletic Conference honors after placing in the top eight of the MSAC Championship held as part of the Jefferson Invitational on Friday. Jacobson had the third score among MSAC golfers with a 74; O?Neil tied for fourth with a 76.  Niagara won the Jefferson Invitational team title with a score of 297; Tompkins Cortland was seventh in the nine-team field with a 321.

    Led by a strong performance by Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.), the Tompkins Cortland Community College golf team took part in the Jamestown Invitational on Friday. Playing the Chautauqua Golf Course, the longtime host course of the NJCAA Division III National Championship, the Panthers carded a team score of 368 to finish in eighth place among nine teams. Niagara County Community College won the event with a score of 318.

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College golf team ended a weekend trip with a seventh-place finish at the Hudson Valley Invitational on Sunday. The Panthers carded a team score of 359 at Colonie Country Club. Onondaga Community College won the event with a score of 310.

    Taking part in the nine-team Mohawk Valley Invitational on Friday, Tompkins Cortland Community College finished in eighth place. The Panthers carded a team score of 367 at Oneida Community Golf Club. Onondaga Community College and Niagara County Community College both shot 324 to tie atop the leaderboard.

    Tompkins Cortland Community College brought home a seventh-place finish at Saturday’s Onondaga Invitational at Sunset Ridge Golf Club in Marcellus. The Panthers carded a team score of 348. Niagara County Community College topped the eight-team field with a score of 307.

    Tompkins Cortland Community College hosted the first golf tournament of the NJCAA Region 3 season on Friday, welcoming eight teams to Elm Tree Golf Course in Cortland. The Panthers finished fifth with a team score of 334, 15 strokes behind winner Onondaga Community College’s score of 319. Jamestown Community College’s Anthony Gulo was the medalist on the men’s side with an even par 71. Sean Barrett claiming male medalist honors with a 73. Niagara’s McCarthy Lang was the top female for the second year in a row, scoring a 92.

  • Boyes and Fravel Selected for Panther Hall of Fame

    Golfer Kris Boyes ’08 and softball player Tayler Fravel (Wallis) ’12 have been selected to join the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panther Hall of Fame. The two will be inducted at a ceremony this spring, bringing the total to 16 people that have been voted into the Hall of Fame since its creation in 1999.

    Panthers golf announces its first National Letter of Intent signing for the 2022-23 academic year. East Williamsville High School's Zach Jacobson has signed his commitment letter to join Coach McDaniel and the Panthers this fall.

Playing the par 72 Highland Meadows Golf Course in Watertown, Brogan Winton (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.) was credited with a score of 96 while Zackary Willson (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) carded a 98. Madison Kelley (Moravia/Moravia H.S.) tied for second among females with a score of 108.

    Three Panthers golfers took part in the Niagara Invitational on Saturday. Playing the par 71 Willowbrook Golf course in Lockwood, Brogan Winton (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.) tied for 30th out of 39 with a score of 99. Zackary Willson (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) finished in 34th place at 101.

    The Jamestown Invite on Friday gave the Panthers golfers the opportunity to play the host course for the NJCAA Division III Men’s National Championship. Playing the par 72 Chautauqua Golf Club, Zackary Willson (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) finished in 28th place out of 25 men with an even 100. Brogan Winton (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.) tied for 30th with a score of 103.

    Freshmen Brogan Winton (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.) and Zackary Willson (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) represented Tompkins Cortland Community College in the Mohawk Valley Invite at the Oneida Community Golf Club on Friday. Willson edged Winton for top honors among Panthers, 102 to 103.

    Freshmen Brogan Winton (Sherburne/Sherburne-Earlville H.S.) and Zackary Willson (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) represented Tompkins Cortland Community College as the panthers continued the Region 3 golf season on Saturday by taking part in the Onondaga Invite at Sunset Ridge Golf Club in Marcellus. For the second straight tournament, Niagara County Community College won the team title, with the Thunderwolves’ Leo Camilliani claiming medalist honors with a 78.
