Patrick Tammariello (Owego/Owego Free Academy) nearly completed a remarkable comeback at the NJCAA Region 3 Golf Championship, bouncing back from an opening-round 92 to card a 76 on day two, forcing a playoff for the final all-region spot. The freshman lost on the second hole to finish just outside all-region. His two-day total of 168 put him tied for 15^th place. His 76 was the second best score of the day on Tuesday, and tied for the third best score of the tournament.

Cole Dalton (Apalachin/Owego Free Academy) followed up his opening 89 with an 88 for a 177. He finished 23^rd for the tournament.

The two-day tournament was held at Glen Oak Golf Club in East Amherst.
