  • Offense Goes Flat in Panthers Baseball Losses

    The offense struggled to get going on Thursday as the Panthers baseball team dropped a pair of games to Jamestown Community College. Tompkins Cortland is now 5-25 overall and 5-21 in the West Division. Jamestown is 14-21 overall and 13-13 in the West Division.
  • Panthers Baseball Falls in Extras Despite Big Rally

    The Panthers baseball team put together a big rally to force extra innings, but couldn’t finish the comeback as Jamestown Community College completed a doubleheader sweep of the Panthers, 12-1 in the opener and 11-10 in extra innings in game two. Tompkins Cortland is now 5-23 overall and 5-19 in the West Division. Jamestown is 12-21 overall and 11-13 in the West Division.
  • Schneider Two-Hitter Ears Panthers a DH Split

    A dominant pitching performance from Collin Schneider (Utica/Notre Dame H.S.) helped the Panthers baseball team split a doubleheader with SUNY Broome on Sunday. After losing 16-5 and winning 7-0, Tompkins Cortland stands at 5-21 overall, 5-17 in the West Division, and 5-13 against Mid-State Athletic Conference teams. Broome is 8-21 overall, 7-19 in the West Division, and 7-11 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Baseball Comes Up Short

    Despite out-hitting their opponent on the day, the Panthers baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Broome on Saturday. Tompkins Cortland falls to 4-20 overall, 4-16 in the West Division, and 4-12 against Mid-State Athletic Conference teams. Broome is 7-20 overall, 6-18 in the West Division, and 6-10 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Baseball Falls to #6 Niagara

    Hosting #6-ranked SUNY Niagara on Thursday, the Panthers baseball team was unable to put together much offense, dropping both ends of a doubleheader to the Thunderwolves. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-18 overall and 4-14 in the West Division. Niagara is 35-7 overall and 19-1 in division.

    The Panthers baseball team dropped a pair to Onondaga Community College Tuesday. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-16 overall and 4-12 in the West Division. Onondaga improves to 19-9 overall and 13-8 in division.
  • Panthers Baseball Falls to #7 Niagara

    One of the top teams in the nation kept the Panthers baseball team in check on Sunday, as SUNY Niagara swept a doubleheader by scores of 10-0 and 21-2. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-14 overall and 4-12 in the West Division. Niagara, #7 in the latest NJCAA national rankings, stands at 33-7 overall and tied for first with a record of 19-1 in division.

    Another two-out rally helped the Panthers baseball team earn a split of Saturday’s doubleheader at Corning Community College. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-12 overall and 4-8 in the West Division. Corning stands at 2-23 overall and 1-21 in division.
  • Two Walk-Off Wins for Panthers Baseball

    There was plenty of drama at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex on a wet Thursday as the Panthers baseball team rallied for two walk-off wins over Corning, 12-11 and 9-8. Tompkins Cortland has now won three straight to improve to 3-11 overall and 3-7 in the West Division. Corning falls to 1-22 overall and 0-20 in division.

  • Panthers Baseball Rallies for First Win of Season
    April 14, 2024
    Down to their last out, the Panthers baseball team rallied back to pick up their first win of the year, beating Finger Lakes Community College 10-4 in 10 innings on Sunday. The win earned the Panthers a doubleheader split, with the Lakers winning the opener 12-2. Tompkins Cortland is now 1-11 overall and 1-7 in the West Division. Finger Lakes is 15-10 overall and 10-6 in division.
  • Panthers Baseball Drops Pair to Erie

    A back-and-forth opening game was followed by a lopsided game two as the Panthers baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Erie Community College Tuesday in Dryden. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-10 overall and 0-6 in the West Division. Erie is 18-9 overall and 10-0 in division.
  • April 4 and 6 Baseball Postponed
    April 03, 2024
    Mother Nature strikes again. The away and home doubleheaders against Jamestown originally scheduled for April 4 and 6 have been postponed. The Panthers and Jayhawks will now play in Jamestown on April 30 and in Dryden on May 2. Both dates are doubleheaders set to begin at 2 p.m.
  • More Rescheduled Games for Panthers Baseball

    April is starting just like March ended for the Panthers baseball team - with changes to the schedule. The home doubleheader with Onondaga, originally schedule for March 23 and then postponed to April 2 has been rescheduled once again. The Panthers and Lazers will now play in Dryden on Tuesday, April 23. In another schedule note, the home date with Erie, originally postponed on March 30, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 9.

    The home doubleheader vs. Erie Community College on Saturday, March 30 has been postponed due to field conditions. A makeup date has not yet been determined.

    Despite scoring first in both games, the Panthers baseball team was overwhelmed in a doubleheader loss at Erie Community College Thursday, falling by scores of 16-1 and 20-5. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-8 and 0-4 in the West Division. Erie is 11-8 overall and 4-0 in division.

    The Panthers baseball team opened West Division play on a down note on Tuesday, dropping both ends of a doubleheader at Onondaga Community College, 8-2 and 13-3. Tompkins Cortland drops to 0-6 overall while Onondaga improves to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in division.
  • Baseball Weekend Series with Onondaga

    The Panthers baseball weekend series with Onondaga Community College has been rescheduled. The teams will play in Syracuse on Tuesday, March 26 and in Dryden on Tuesday, April 2. Both dates are doubleheaders starting at 2 p.m.
  • Panthers Baseball Drops Two at Jefferson
    March 16, 2024
     A rough day at the plate and in the field led to a pair of losses on Saturday as the Panthers baseball team fell at Jefferson Community College. The Panthers committed five errors in each game and totaled just seven hits in the two games combined, losing 8-3 and 10-6. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-4 on the year, and Jefferson is 2-2.
  • Panthers Drop Opening Doubleheader at Cayuga
    March 09, 2024
    Playing for the first time in 2024, the Panthers baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Cayuga Community College, losing 12-2 and 12-3. While it was the season opener for Tompkins Cortland, Cayuga is now 2-2 on the year.
