Panthers Women Split Weekend Games

After winning at SUNY Adirondack on Saturday, the Panthers women's basketball team lost at Hudson Valley Community College on Sunday, 86-58. Tompkins Cortland is now 6-4 overall and 6-3 in regional play. Hudson Valley improves to 7-4 overall.

The first quarter was hectic with the two teams combining to score 53 and Hudson Valley taking a 37-16 lead. The next two quarters were even before Hudson Valley closed out the win with a 16-9 advantage in the fourth quarter.  

Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) led the Panthers with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Tatyanna George (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.) posted 19 points and 11 rebounds and Promise Myers (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) added 12 points.

Looking ahead

The Panthers return home to host Cayuga Community College on Wednesday.
