The Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team hosted the #5-ranked team in the nation Sunday, and the result was an 80-34 win for the visiting Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders. Tompkins Cortland is now 7-9 overall while Fulton-Montgomery remains undefeated at 12-0.

The Panthers started the scoring with a 3-pointer by Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) in the first minute of action. Another 3-pointer from Wilbur pushed the lead to 6-2 a minute later, but Fulton-Montgomery responded with a 13-0 run to take the lead. The advantage continued to grow as the Panthers were unable to challenge the Raiders the rest of the way.

Wilbur ended up with a game-high 19 points while also recording four rebounds and four steals. Abby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.) added five points and five rebounds.

Looking ahead

Due to several programs canceling their seasons, the Panthers have a long break before returning to action. The next game is Saturday, February 11 at Herkimer College.
