The Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team suffered a 58-46 road loss at Mohawk Valley Community College Saturday. Tompkins Cortland is now 7-8 overall while Mohawk Valley improves to 9-4.
The Panthers fell behind early and could never fully recover. Mohawk Valley jumped ahead 15-6 after the first quarter and pushed the lead to 28-17 at the half. Tompkins Cortland cut into the lead in the third quarter, but the Hawks put the game away with a 20-15 advantage in the fourth.
Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) posted her tenth double-double of the season, going for 22 points and 19 rebounds. Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) added 13 points and five rebounds.

The Panthers host #5-ranked Fulton Montgomery Community College on Sunday.
