Panthers Lead Entire Way in Win Over Finger Lakes

Contributions from up and down the roster powered the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team to a 66-33 win over Finger Lakes Community College Wednesday in Dryden. The third win in a row improves the Panthers to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes falls to 0-11 overall and 0-5 in the MSAC.

A basket by Lauren Gulini (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) started the scoring in the opening minute, and the Panthers never looked back. All ten Panthers in uniform saw time on the floor in the first half as the home team led by as many as 13 points in the opening half. The margin continued to grow in the second half, with nine of the ten Panthers in the scoring column by the end of the game, all ten recording at least one rebound, nine of the ten with at least one assist, and eight of the ten with at least one steal.

Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) had another big stat day, posting 21 points, 17 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) had 15 points, 6 steals, and 4 rebounds.  Sindiswa Pinckney (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) grabbed 10 rebounds and Madison Kelly (Moravia/Moravia H.S.) had a team-best 4 assists.
