Playing on the road for the first time this semester, the Tompkins Cortland women's basketball team came out cold and never really got things going in a 67-40 loss to Genesee Community College. The Panthers are now 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Genesee is 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the MSAC.

The Panthers fell behind early, trailing 12-2 three minutes into the game. The difference was 25-8 after the first quarter and grew to 42-17 at the half. The closest the visitors could get in the second half was within 16 points early in the fourth quarter, but Genesee pushed it back to 27 for the final margin.

Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) was the only Panthers to score in double figures, finishing with 17 points. Thea Holdman (Singapore/International Community School) had 9 points and Madison Kelly (Moravia/Moravia H.S.) had a team-best 8 rebounds.
