It was another cold night on the offensive end of the court Wednesday for the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team as the Panthers lost 48-34 to the Cayuga Community College. The Panthers are now 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Cayuga is 2-11 overall and 2-2 in the MSAC.

The game was tight the entire first half, with the lead changing sides 10 times. The Panthers led 11-10 after the first quarter, but the Spartans took a 25-22 advantage into halftime. The visitors continued their momentum in the third, outscoring the Panthers 15-3 to hold a 40-25 advantage heading to the final ten minutes. The Panthers couldn't cut into the margin enough in the final quarter, eventually totaling just 12 points in the second half while dropping their third straight.

Madison Kelly (Moravia/Moravia H.S.) once again led the Panthers in scoring, netting 16 points to go with 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Karissa Wilbur (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) just missed a double-double with 9 points and 9 rebounds, adding a team-high 5 steals.
