Marathon High's Ellery Ensign has committed to join the Panthers Softball Recruiting Class of 2023. The two-sport athlete has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to enroll at Tompkins Cortland this fall.

Ensign was a standout for the Olympians field hockey and softball teams, earned all-star honors in both sports. An all-around athlete who can play anywhere on the field, she is also a high honor roll student intending on majoring in nursing.

"We add a strong, fast, versatile athlete with Ellery. She will be asked to play all over the field," said Panthers Softball Coach Ed Dow. "She can track them down in the outfield and she can knock them down in the infield, and we might even ask her to pitch and catch, too. Her bat is powerful and will add depth to our lineup. We're excited to bring Ellery into our program."
