Racing at the NJCAA Region 3 championship, Tompkins Cortland Community College’s Colin Morey (Groton/Groton H.S.) finished with a time of 44:12 over the 8K course. The sophomore’s pace was 8:54 per mile and resulted with a 38th place finish.
The event was hosted by Finger Lakes Community College. Omar Mohamed from Mohawk Valley Community College won the event with a time of 27:11.
Sophomore Colin Morey (Groton/Groton H.S.) finished 14th at the Mid-State Athletic Conference championship meet Saturday. Morey covered the 8K course in 46:32, averaging crossed the line with a time of 44:39.
The event was hosted by Corning Community College. The host school’s Hayden Allington won the race with a time of 30:26. SUNY Broome won the team event.
Running in the rain on a wet and slow course, two runners represented Tompkins Cortland Community College at the Hamilton College Invitational on Saturday. Masai White (Syracuse/Institute of Technology) led the Panthers with a time of 36:44, good for 67th place on the 8K course. Colin Morey (Groton/Groton H.S.) came in 73rd with a time of 46:14.
Two runners represented Tompkins Cortland Community College at the highly competitive Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday. Anvil Illsley (Berkshire/Newark Valley H.S.) led the Panthers with a time of 35:04 over the 8K course. Colin Morey (Groton/Groton H.S.) crossed the line with a time of 44:39.
