Panthers Bounce Back with Road Win at Corning

Four players in double figures paced the Panthers men's basketball team to an 85-71 road win over Corning Community College on Wednesday. Tompkins Cortland improves to 9-6 overall and 6-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning falls to 6-9 overall and 4-2 in the MSAC.

The balanced attack was led by Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School), who finished with 20 points, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. Sheldon Schuler (New Haven, Conn./Lee Academy Prep) had a huge game of 18 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. Malachi Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Central H.S.) scored 13 points, making three 3 –pointers along the way, and Nazir Rowell (Harlem/Vineland H.S.) finished with 10 points.

The Panthers return home Saturday to host Finger Lakes Community College.
