The Panthers men's basketball team blew a big lead at SUNY Broome Sunday, losing in the final seconds 75-74. The Panthers fall to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.

The Panthers held leads of 20 points at multiple times, but the Hornets came all the way back, taking the lead after rebounding a missed foul shot with eight seconds left and driving the length of the court for a game-winning layup.

Four Panthers scored in double figure, led by Kobe Nwosu (Spring Valley/North Rockland H.S.) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Javonte Long (Harlem/Clayton H.S.) and Malachi Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Central H.S.) each had 13 points and Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School) posted 10 points. Jakai Lester (Wantagh/Wantagh H.S.) led the team with 14 rebounds.

Looking ahead
