2023-24 Basketball All-Conference

Three Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball players have been voted to the Mid-State Athletic Conference all-conference team, led by MSAC Player of the Year Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.). Joining Pugh on the first team was Javonte Long (Harlem/Clayton H.S.) while Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School) earned a place on the second team. It is the second time in program history that three Panthers have been voted all-conference, and the first time since 2009-10 season. Bryan Viscaino (Manhattan/Monsignor Scanlon H.S.) and Damari Johnson (Binghamton/Johnson City H.S.) received Honorable Mention.

Pugh led the conference in scoring and rebounding. He averaged 19.3 points and 12.6 rebounds per game in the MSAC, and ended the regular season with a triple-double of 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists against Onondaga Community College. He scored in double figures in 22 of 23 games this season, and topped 10 rebounds 15 times, with a high of 19 boards at Jefferson Community College. He is the first Panther voted MSAC Player of the Year since Tyseem Lyles was the Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Long was second in the conference in assists at 5.9 per games and assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.0. He was also second in the conference in steals per game with 2.7. He averaged 13.2 points per game in the MSAC.

Samuels was second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.8 points per game in conference. He scored in double figures 11 times and topped 20 points four times this season with a high of 29 points.
