For the third straight year, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball teams has qualified for the NJCAA postseason. The men are the #4 seed and will take on #5 seed SUNY Adirondack in the NJCAA Region 3 tournament quarterfinal on Friday, March 1. The regional tournament will be hosted by Herkimer College.
This will be the second straight year the Panthers and Timberwolves have squared off the NJCAA playoffs. Last year Tompkins Cortland nipped Adirondack 69-67 in an opening round game. The teams played in the regular season this year, with Adirondack pulling out a 765-63 win in Queensbury on January 13.
The Panthers finished the regular season with a Region 3 record of 15-7 in regional games. Adirondack went 11-11 in region.
