Panthers Grind Out Road Win at Corning

Four players scored in double figures as the Panthers men's basketball team picked up a hard-fought 77-75 road win over Corning Community College on Wednesday.  Tompkins Cortland is now 14-5 overall and 11-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference, tied for first place in the MSAC. Corning drops to 6-12 overall and 4-7 in the MSAC.

Javonte Long (Harlem/Clayton H.S.) and Bryan Viscaino (Manhattan/Monsignor Scanlon H.S.) shared high-scoring honors with 19 points each, with Long adding 11 assists for a double-double. Kobe Nwosu (Spring Valley/North Rockland H.S.) scored 14 points and Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.) had 11.

The Panthers have a non-conference game Saturday at Columbia-Greene Community College.
