Panthers Pick Up Crucial Road Win

The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team picked up a crucial road win Tuesday, beating Columbia-Greene Community College 89-70. The victory improves the Panthers to 11-11 overall and, more importantly, 11-10 in Region 3 games with one game left before the Region 3 playoff bids are handed out. Columbia-Greene drops to 3-21 on the season.

Four Panthers scored in double figures, led by Joel Davis (Watertown/Watertown H.S.). The freshman posted 21 points to go with nine rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three blocks. Tysheen Lott (Buffalo/Health Science Charter) poured in 19 points, connecting on five 3-pointers and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Cristian Rosa (Yonkers/Lincoln H.S.) and Michael Obi (Yonkers/Lincoln H.S.) each had 12 points, with Rosa adding four assists and Obi pulling down four boards. Logan Nordman (Onondaga/Onondaga H.S.) dished out a team-best seven assists while scoring seven points.

The Panthers close out the regular season at home against Onondaga Community College on Wednesday.
