Panthers Clean the Glass in Big Road Win

A dominating performance on the glass powered the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team to an 81-47 win at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday. Tompkins Cortland is now 7-7 overall and 5-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes is 0-17 overall and 0-9 in the MSAC.

The Panthers never trailed against the Lakers, leading 45-22 at the half and then cruising in the second twenty minutes. Tompkins Cortland enjoyed a 69-32 advantage on boards, and a 35-0 lead in bench points.

Eleven of 12 Panthers scored at least two points, and each had at least one rebound. Damari Johnson (Binghamton/Johnson City H.S.) led the scorers with 16 points. Michael Obi (Yonkers/Lincoln H.S.) had a team-best 14 rebounds.
