Road Win for Panthers Men at Jefferson

After a pair of tough losses, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team pulled out a close win on the road Tuesday, winning 63-61 at Jefferson Community College. The Panthers are now 2-2 overall and in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson is now 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the MSAC.

The Panthers came in having dropped their last two games in the closing minutes. Against Jefferson, it was the Panthers that closed out a close game, coming back from down 26-24 at the half to pull out the win.

Joel Davis (Watertown/Watertown H.S.) had another big night, posting 16 points while pulling down 9 rebounds. Damari Johnson (Binghamton/Johnson City H.S.) had 14 points and Kai McCullough (Rochester/East H.S.) added 10 points.

Looking ahead

The Panthers play at home for the first time this season, hosting SUNY Broome on Saturday.
