Lopsided Loss for Men at Onondaga

The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team came out on the wrong end of a lopsided score Wednesday, losing at Onondaga Community College by a final score of 97-49. Tompkins Cortland has now lost eight straight to fall to 6-16 overall and 1-10 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga improves to 18-6 overall and 8-2 in the MSAC.

The Lazers put the game out of reach early, running to a 43-26 lead at the half. A 54-23 advantage in the second half expanded the lead to the 48-point final spread.

The Panthers have just one game left this season. The 2017-18 campaign comes to a close Saturday at home against Cayuga Community College. Opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m.
