    Hosting #6-ranked SUNY Niagara on Thursday, the Panthers baseball team was unable to put together much offense, dropping both ends of a doubleheader to the Thunderwolves. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-18 overall and 4-14 in the West Division. Niagara is 35-7 overall and 19-1 in division.

    The bats went silent for the Panthers softball team Thursday as the team dropped a doubleheader to Hudson Valley Community College, 11-0 and 16-0. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-10 on the season; Hudson Valley is 14-8.

    One of the top teams in the nation kept the Panthers baseball team in check on Sunday, as SUNY Niagara swept a doubleheader by scores of 10-0 and 21-2. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-14 overall and 4-12 in the West Division. Niagara, #7 in the latest NJCAA national rankings, stands at 33-7 overall and tied for first with a record of 19-1 in division.
  • Allport Leads Panthers Golfers at Adirondack

    Tompkins Cortland Community College took part in the Adirondack Invitational at Brookhaven Golf Course in Porter Corner. The team event was won by SUNY Niagara with a score of 337.
  • Panthers Baseball Splits DH at Corning

    Another two-out rally helped the Panthers baseball team earn a split of Saturday’s doubleheader at Corning Community College. Tompkins Cortland is now 4-12 overall and 4-8 in the West Division. Corning stands at 2-23 overall and 1-21 in division.

    The Panthers softball team got in the win column for the first time in 2024, sweeping a doubleheader from SUNY Broome. The 9-0 and 13-4 wins, both in five innings, leave the Panthers with a record of 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Broome is now 3-9 overall and 1-3 in the MSAC.

    There was plenty of drama at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex on a wet Thursday as the Panthers baseball team rallied for two walk-off wins over Corning, 12-11 and 9-8. Tompkins Cortland has now won three straight to improve to 3-11 overall and 3-7 in the West Division. Corning falls to 1-22 overall and 0-20 in division.

    The Panthers softball team fell behind early in both games against the nation’s #4-ranked team and couldn’t recover, losing 16-1 and 11-3 at Corning Community College on Thursday.  Tompkins Cortland is now 0-8 overall and 0-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference; Corning is 15-11 overall and 5-1 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Fall to #4-Ranked Onondaga

    The Panthers men’s lacrosse team got overwhelmed by #4-ranked Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, losing 30-1. Tompkins Cortland is now 2-5 overall and 2-3 in Region 3. Onondaga improves to 8-3 overall and 6-0 in region. The Lazers also improved to 3-0 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference, clinching the conference championship.
  • Khai Pugh Earns All-American Honors
    April 16, 2024
    Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball player Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.) has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Honorable Mention All-American. He is the third player to earn All-American recognition in the history of the Panthers men’s basketball program following Tyseem Lyles (2014) and Jude Princivil (1995).
  • Panthers Baseball Rallies for First Win of Season

    Down to their last out, the Panthers baseball team rallied back to pick up their first win of the year, beating Finger Lakes Community College 10-4 in 10 innings on Sunday. The win earned the Panthers a doubleheader split, with the Lakers winning the opener 12-2. Tompkins Cortland is now 1-11 overall and 1-7 in the West Division. Finger Lakes is 15-10 overall and 10-6 in division.
  • Panthers Host Season-Opening Tournament

    Tompkins Cortland Community College hosted the first golf tournament of the NJCAA Region 3 season on Friday, welcoming golfers from nine colleges to Elm Tree Golf Course in Cortland. The team event was won by SUNY Niagara with a score of 309.

    A tight game into the fourth quarter got away from the Panthers men’s lacrosse team on Friday as Hudson Valley Community College pulled away to hand the Panthers a 14-6 defeat. Tompkins Cortland is now 2-4 overall and 2-2 in Region 3. Hudson Valley improves to 6-3 overall and 2-3 in region.

    The Panthers softball team traveled north to take on Jefferson Community College on Thursday, dropping a doubleheader to a strong Cannoneers squad. The Panthers are now 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference while Jefferson improves to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the MSAC.

    The Panthers softball team held a lead into the fourth inning of both games, but couldn’t finish off the win in either, dropping a home doubleheader against Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday. The Panthers are now 0-4 while Mohawk Valley improves to 8-6.

    A back-and-forth opening game was followed by a lopsided game two as the Panthers baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Erie Community College Tuesday in Dryden. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-10 overall and 0-6 in the West Division. Erie is 18-9 overall and 10-0 in division.
  • Road Loss to Herkimer for Panthers Lacrosse

    A slow start was too much to overcome as the Panthers men’s lacrosse team lost to Herkimer College on Saturday, 15-4. The Panthers, who earlier in the week learned they would be awarded a forfeit win for the season-opening game against Monroe Community College, now stand at 2-3 overall and 2-1 in Region 3. Herkimer is 5-5 overall and 3-1 in region.
  • Panthers Softball Opens Season at Monroe

    The Panthers softball team opened the 2024 season Saturday at Monroe Community College. The Panthers showed plenty of early-season rust, but improved as the day went on before ultimately falling 14-1 and 16-8. While Tompkins Cortland is now 0-2, Monroe improves to 7-3.

    Despite scoring first in both games, the Panthers baseball team was overwhelmed in a doubleheader loss at Erie Community College Thursday, falling by scores of 16-1 and 20-5. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-8 and 0-4 in the West Division. Erie is 11-8 overall and 4-0 in division.

    The Panthers men’s lacrosse team earned its first win of the season Wednesday, claiming a 13-11 victory at Mohawk Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 1-3 overall and 1-1 in Region 3. Mohawk Valley drops to 0-3 overall and in region.

  • Panthers Lacrosse Drops Home Game to #3 CCBC Essex

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s lacrosse team returned to action Sunday after two weeks off, hosting #3-ranked Community College of Baltimore County Essex. The visiting Knights lived up to their ranking, rolling to a 31-1 win. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-2 while Essex improves to 4-1.

    The second international member of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Men's Soccer 2024 recruiting class is Luke Morgan from Worcester, England. A midfielder, Morgan plays club for The Chase School, Malvern.
  • Baseball Weekend Series with Onondaga
    March 20, 2024
    The Panthers baseball weekend series with Onondaga Community College has been rescheduled. The teams will play in Syracuse on Tuesday, March 26 and in Dryden on Tuesday, April 2. Both dates are doubleheaders starting at 2 p.m.
