The Panthers men’s lacrosse team earned its first win of the season Wednesday, claiming a 13-11 victory at Mohawk Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 1-3 overall and 1-1 in Region 3. Mohawk Valley drops to 0-3 overall and in region.
The Panthers baseball team opened West Division play on a down note on Tuesday, dropping both ends of a doubleheader at Onondaga Community College, 8-2 and 13-3. Tompkins Cortland drops to 0-6 overall while Onondaga improves to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in division.
The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s lacrosse team returned to action Sunday after two weeks off, hosting #3-ranked Community College of Baltimore County Essex. The visiting Knights lived up to their ranking, rolling to a 31-1 win. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-2 while Essex improves to 4-1.
The second international member of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Men's Soccer 2024 recruiting class is Luke Morgan from Worcester, England. A midfielder, Morgan plays club for The Chase School, Malvern.
The Panthers baseball weekend series with Onondaga Community College has been rescheduled. The teams will play in Syracuse on Tuesday, March 26 and in Dryden on Tuesday, April 2. Both dates are doubleheaders starting at 2 p.m.
The first international member of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Men's Soccer 2024 recruiting class is Stanley Wiggins from Musselburgh, Scotland. A striker, Wiggins plays club for Musselburgh Grammar School.
A rough day at the plate and in the field led to a pair of losses on Saturday as the Panthers baseball team fell at Jefferson Community College. The Panthers committed five errors in each game and totaled just seven hits in the two games combined, losing 8-3 and 10-6. Tompkins Cortland is now 0-4 on the year, and Jefferson is 2-2.
Playing at home for the first time this season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s lacrosse team fell into an early hole and could never recover, losing 22-9 to Monroe Community College. The Panthers are now 0-2 on the season; it was the first game of the year for Monroe.

In voting done by all the coaches in the region, Tompkins Cortland Community College’s Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.) has been named to the NJCAA Region 3 Men’s Basketball All-Region Team. He is the first Panther voted all-region since Kevin Williams in 2015-16, and the first on the first team since Tyseem Lyles in 2013-14.
Sophomore Damari Johnson (Binghamton/Johnson City H.S.) was selected to the NJCAA Region 3 Men's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team. He led the team in scoring in the semifinal game against top-seeded Herkimer College, going for 27 points while draining a program playoff record seven 3-pointers.
To open the 2024 season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s lacrosse season hit the road for a game in New Jersey against Sussex County Community College. Squaring off against the Skylanders, the Panthers took an early lead but couldn’t hold on, falling by a 9-7 final. The Panthers are now 0-1; it was the first win in three games this season for Sussex.
The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball season came to an end Saturday in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 3 tournament as the Panthers came up short in their bid to upset top-seeded Herkimer College on the Generals’ home court. After leading much of the back-and-forth game, the Panthers just couldn’t finish the game out, falling to Herkimer by a final score of 83-75. Tompkins Cortland, the tournament’s #4 seed, ends the season with a record of 17-9. Herkimer advances to Sunday’s championship game with a record of 26-2.
After building a big lead, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball team held off a hard-charging SUNY Adirondack to pull out a 70-67 win in the quarterfinal round of the NJCAA Region 3 tournament Friday. The Panthers advance to Saturday’s semifinal against top-seeded Herkimer College. The game tips at 1 p.m. at Herkimer.
The IAC MVP has committed to Tompkins Cortland women's soccer. Dryden High senior Emma Lobdell has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to join the Panthers in the fall.
Coming into Saturday’s Mid-State Athletic Conference men’s basketball championship game against Jefferson, Tompkins Cortland had gone 3-0 in previous championship game appearances. The Panthers remained perfect in the big game, never trailing as they cruised past the Cannoneers, 81-63.
Three Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball players have been voted to the Mid-State Athletic Conference all-conference team, led by MSAC Player of the Year Khai Pugh (Syracuse/Nottingham H.S.). Joining Pugh on the first team was Javonte Long (Harlem/Clayton H.S.) while Marqiis Samuels (Long Island/The Patrick School) earned a place on the second team. It is the second time in program history that three Panthers have been voted all-conference, and the first time since 2009-10 season. Bryan Viscaino (Manhattan/Monsignor Scanlon H.S.) and Damari Johnson (Binghamton/Johnson City H.S.) received Honorable Mention.
For the third straight year, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball teams has qualified for the NJCAA postseason. The men are the #4 seed and will take on #5 seed SUNY Adirondack in the NJCAA Region 3 tournament quarterfinal on Friday, March 1. The regional tournament will be hosted by Herkimer College.
Tompkins Cortland Community College will now host the Mid-State Athletic Conference men's basketball championship game on Saturday, February 24. Due to the discovery that Genesee Community College is ineligible for the MSAC postseason tournament, the Panthers are now the top seed remaining and have been given a first-round bye. Jefferson Community College is hosting Finger Lakes Community College Friday night for the right to play against the Panthers in MSAC title game.

The Tompkins Cortland men’s basketball team closed out the regular season in historic fashion Wednesday, racing to a 117-99 win over Onondaga Community College. The win gives the Panthers a record of 15-8 overall and 12-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference, the most conference wins in program history. Onondaga drops to 4-19 overall and 1-13 in the MSAC.

The loss drops Tompkins Cortland to 14-8 while Herkimer now stands at 22-1.
PGA professional Kevin Kurcoba has been named the new head golf at Tompkins Cortland Community College. Kurcoba takes over the program for the 2024 season.

The loss drops Tompkins Cortland to 14-7 overall and 11-2 in the MSAC. Genesee is now 20-6 overall and 12-1 in conference, clinching the top seed in the upcoming MSAC playoffs.

And in each case, the Panthers lost – this time falling to Columbia-Greene Community College, 82-67. The loss drops Tompkins Cortland to 14-6 overall and 14-5 in Region 3. Columbia –Greene is now 8-11.
Four players scored in double figures as the Panthers men’s basketball team picked up a hard-fought 77-75 road win over Corning Community College on Wednesday. Tompkins Cortland is now 14-5 overall and 11-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference, tied for first place in the MSAC. Corning drops to 6-12 overall and 4-7 in the MSAC.
The women's basketball game between Tompkins Cortland Community College and Corning Community College scheduled for Wednesday, January 31 has been postponed due to the Panthers not having enough players healthy enough to play.
A day after big win over a nationally ranked team, the Panthers men’s basketball team came out flat on both ends of the court, dropping a road game to Fulton-Montgomery Community College, 90-62. Tompkins Cortland is now 13-5 on the season. Fulton-Montgomery moves to 12-3.
