  • Nine Panthers Honored for Academics by Region III

    Nine Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been recognized as Academic All-Region by Region III of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Kimberly Duda (Homer/Homer H.S.), Jessica Fisk (Waterloo/Waterloo H.S.), Ryan Foody (Tully/Tully H.S.) Sage Garrison (Odessa/Odessa-Montour H.S.), Marcus Gonzalez (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Amanda Green (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), Erin Harkenrider (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Austin Kulas (Moravia/Moravia H.S.), and Kaylie Yerdon (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.) were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.
  • Summer Sports Camps Offered for Basketball and Soccer

    For the 24th year, Tompkins Cortland Community College is once again offering weeklong summer sports camps. The basketball camp for boys will run from July 8 to 12 followed by the basketball camp for girls from July 15 to 19. Soccer camp for boys and girls will run July 22 to 26. All are day camps for ages 8 to 15.

  • Arancio Named Third Coach in Panthers Men's Soccer History

    The men’s soccer program at Tompkins Cortland Community College first competed as a varsity team in 1995. In its 24 seasons of existence, the Panthers have had a grand total of two different head coaches. Year 25 will feature number three. Patrick Arancio has been named the new head coach for men’s soccer at Tompkins Cortland, replacing Andy Davis, who stepped down earlier this year after 14 seasons at the helm.
  • Davis Steps Down After 14 Seasons as Men's Soccer Head Coach

    The longest-tenured coach in the history of Tompkins Cortland Community College athletics is stepping down. Andy Davis has decided to leave the men’s soccer program he has led for the last 14 seasons in order to spend more time with family and to pursue other opportunities. A search for his successor will begin immediately.
  • Cochran Named All-Region for Men's Soccer

    Richard Cochran (Groton/Cortland Christian Academy) has been voted to the NJCAA Region III Men’s Soccer All-Region team. The freshman defender was voted to the second team by the coaches from the 17 teams in the region.
  • Two All-MSAC Selections for Men's Soccer

    Two members of the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team have been voted to the Mid-State Athletic Conference all-conference team. Freshmen Hugo Sauriat (New York City/Frank McCourt H.S.) and Noah McPherson (Hartford, Conn./Bulkeley H.S.) were among the 20 players voted to the team by the coaches of the seven MSAC programs. SUNY Broome had the most selections with six players, followed by conference champion Cayuga Community College with five.
  • Men's Soccer Loses Season Finale to Broome

    A 6-1 home loss to SUNY Broome marked the end of the season for the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team. Wednesday’s loss leaves the Panthers with a final record of 5-10 overall and 2-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Broome is now 12-4 overall and 5-1 in the MSAC.
  • Three Second-Half Goals Sink Panthers

    A trio of unanswered goals in the second half sent the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team to a 4-1 loss at home Sunday against Mohawk Valley Community College. The loss drops the Panthers to 5-9 overall and 4-9 in Region III. Mohawk Valley is 8-5 overall and 7-6 in region.
  • Panthers Shut Out at Home

    With just three games left on the schedule heading, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team is in need of a strong finish to make the NJCAA Region III playoffs. After Thursday’s 6-0 loss to Cayuga Community College, the Panthers have made their final two games must-wins. Tompkins Cortland’s record is now 5-8 overall, 4-8 in Region III, and 2-3 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Cayuga is 9-2 overall, 8-2 in region, and 5-0 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Win Streak Snapped at Two

    A slow start on Sunday for the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team gave the visiting Finger Lakes Community College Lakers all the space they would need as the Lakers handed the Panthers a 3-1 loss. With the loss Tompkins Cortland drops to 5-7 overall, 4-7 in Region III, and 2-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.
  • Panthers Win Second Straight

    Freshman Hugo Sauriat made it two hat tricks in a row while the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team made it two wins in a row with a 4-1 win over Corning Community College Wednesday. Tompkins Cortland improves to 5-6 overall, 4-6 in Region III, and 2-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning is 3-7 overall and in region and 1-4 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Blank Jamestown for Home Win

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team opened its season-ending six game home stand with a 5-0 win over Jamestown Community College Saturday. Tompkins Cortland’s record is now 4-6 overall and 3-6 in Region III. Jamestown is 0-8-3 overall and 0-6-1 in region.

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team had a tough go of it Tuesday, losing at #4-ranked Genesee Community College by a score of 11-0. Tompkins Cortland’s record is now 3-6 overall and 2-6 in Region III. Genesee is 7-2 overall and 5-0 in region.

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team dropped a home game to Onondaga Community College Saturday, losing 4-1. The win, the first for the Panthers in three weeks, improves Tompkins Cortland’s record to 3-5 overall, 2-5 in Region III, and 1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga is 7-2 overall, 6-1 in region, and 4-0 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Snap Skid with Win Over F-MCC

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team snapped its three-game losing streak Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College. The win, the first for the Panthers in three weeks, improves Tompkins Cortland’s record to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in Region III. Fulton-Montgomery drops to 4-4-1 overall and in region.
  • Panthers Men's Soccer Held Scoreless at Erie

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team finished Saturday on the wrong end of a shutout score for the second straight game, this time falling to Erie Community College 5-0. The Panthers are now 2-4 overall and 1-4 in Region III. Erie is 5-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in region.
  • Panthers Overmatched at Home

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team hosted one of the top teams in the nation Wednesday when #3-ranked Herkimer College came to town. The visiting Generals put on an impressive display worthy of their ranking, besting the Panthers in every facet of the game en route to a 7-0 final. The Panthers are now 2-3 overall and 1-3 in Region III. Herkimer is 6-0 overall and 4-0 in region.
  • Men's Soccer Can't Hold Lead, Lose in Overtime

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team held a 3-1 lead midway through the second half Wednesday at Niagara County Community College Wednesday, but the Panthers weren’t able to hold on as the Thunderwolves rallied to win 4-3 in overtime. The loss drops the Panthers to 2-2 on the season, and 1-2 in Region III. Niagara improves to 2-1 overall and in region.
  • Early Goals Power Men's Soccer to Win

    A trio of goals over an eight-minute span in the first half powered the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team to a 3-1 win over Jefferson Community College Wednesday. The home win improves the Panthers to 2-1 on the season, and 1-0 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the MSAC.
  • Win Opens Season for Panthers Men's Soccer

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back Saturday as the Panthers beat Holyoke Community College (Mass.) 3-1 to open the season. It was also the first game of the year for Holyoke.

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s soccer team came out on the short end of a 2-1 final against Hudson Valley Community College Sunday. The result leaves both teams with a record of 1-1 on the season.
