Facing a second opponent ranked in the top three in the nation this weekend, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team came out on the wrong end of a 9-0 score to Herkimer College Sunday. The Panthers are now 1-3 overall while Herkimer improves to 3-0.

After falling at #2-ranked Mohawk Valley on Friday night, the Panthers lined up against the #3-ranked Generals about 45 hours later. Herkimer got on the board early, scoring in the third minute and then adding a second goal in the seventh minute. A third score came late in the half, sending the game to the beak with Herkimer up 3-0. As they had in the first half, the Generals scored quickly to start the second half, and then put it out of reach with a stretch of four goals in three minutes midway through the second half. The final goal came with under two minutes left in the game.

Cillian Lynch (Dublin, Ireland/St. Vincent's Secondary School) had several spectacular plays in goal, finishing with 12 saves.
