The first road trip of the year ended with a loss for the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team. Playing at Mid-State Athletic Conference rival Onondaga Community College, the Lazers shut out the Panthers 3-0. Tompkins Cortland is now 1-1 overall. Onondaa is 2-0.

The home team jumped out to an early lead, taking at quick restart near midfield and beating the Panthers defense for the score in the eighth minute of play. The Panthers had chances, but couldn't find the equalizer before Onondaga made it 2-0 by scoring on a corner kick with under 30 seconds left in the half. The final score came early in the second, when a rush by the Lazers resulted in three point-blank shots on goal in succession. Panthers keeper Joshua Long (Colchester, U.K./Mamingtree) made two great saves on the play, but the pressure finally resulted in a score, making the final 3-0.
