The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team dropped to .500 on the season with an 8-0 loss to Onondaga Community College, 8-0. The Panthers are now 5-5-3 overall and 0-4-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga is 9-3-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the MSAC.

The Panthers struggled to generate any offense, while the visiting Lazers were able to put together several quality runs. Onondaga capitalized on one in the opening minutes of play to set the tone. After putting three on the board in the first half, the game got out of hand into the second half. Onondaga doubled their lead in the opening 13 minutes of second half and eventually tacked on two more to make the final 8-0.

Tompkins Cortland keeper Jack Phelan (Rockville Centre/South Side H.S.) finished with six saves.

Looking ahead

The Panthers travel to Auburn on Wednesday to take on Cayuga Community College. It is the final regular season game of the year for the Panthers.
