After 90 minutes of play on Wednesday, the Tompkins Cortland Community College and SUNY Broome men's soccer teams remained scoreless. The 0-0 tie leaves the Panthers with a record of 5-4-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Broome is 4-8-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the MSAC.

The best chances for each team came in the second half. With 35 minutes left on the clock, Adin Philips   (Perth, Scotland/Grammar H.S.) got a chance from inside the box, poking the ball past the Broome keeper, but the shot bounced off the post. Broome had two good chances later in the half, but each time Tompkins Cortland keeper Jack Phelan (Rockville Centre/South Side H.S.) was up to the task.

With 18:30 left in the game, Broome worked the ball in for a clean shot from within the box, but Phelan kept the net clear. Four minutes later, the Hornets again had a good chance, and this time Phelan stopped two shots from inside the box in a hectic sequence.

Phelan finished with seven saves for his third shutout of the season.
