The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team got back on the winning track Sunday, snapping a two-game skid with a 1-0 victory over SUNY Adirondack. The Panthers improve to 5-2-2 overall and 5-2-1 in Region 3. Adirondack is now 1-7-1 on the year.

The Panthers dominated control of the ball most of the game, but couldn't break through in the first half despite out-shooting the visitors 10-2 over the first 45 minutes. The first goal nearly came in the 59th minute of play when Kytrell Stroman (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) took a pass from George Dickinson (Castleford, England/Ackworth School) and laced a shot that bounced off the crossbar. Ten minutes later Stroman didn't miss, scoring the game-winner goal off an assist from Victor Santos (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/SESI Emilia Massanti).

The lead held the rest of the way as the home team ended up out-shooting the visitors 17-4. Jeremy McGrath (Henderson Harbor/Belleville Henderson H.S.) recorded the shutout with two saves in goal.
