Panthers Drop Road Game to Onondaga

Playing on the road for the third straight game to open the 2022 season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team lost to Onondaga Community College 5-0 on Saturday. The Panthers are now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in Region 3. Onondaga improves to 1-0-1 overall and in Region 3.

Onondaga moved ahead very early with a goal in the opening minutes. Two more before the half gave the Lazers a 3-0 lead at the break. A goal on penalty kick and a capper in the closing minutes provided the final margin.

Goalkeeper Jeremy McGrath (Henderson Harbor/Belleville Henderson H.S.) had a solid effort with 15 saves against the Lazers strong attack.

The Panthers host Erie Community College for the home opener on Wednesday, September 7.
