The Tompkins Cortland men's soccer team snapped a four-game skid Wednesday with a 3-1 win at Corning Community College. The win moves the Panthers to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning drops to 0-10 overall and 0-5 in the MSAC.

The Panthers got on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead in the first half. The Red Barons answered in the closing moments of the half, sending the game to the break at 1-1. The score remained knotted until the 78th minute when the Panthers regained the lead. An insurance goal made the final 3-1 and tied for the most goals the Panthers have scored in a game this season.

Nathan Stuart (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley H.S.) had a big game, scoring two goals and assisting on the other. Jovan Williams (Scotchtown/Pine Bush H.S.) had the other goal, and John Rogers (Lansing/Lansing H.S.) picked up an assist. Dylon Conklin (Moravia/Southern Cayuga H.S.) earned the win with five saves in goal.

The Panthers return to action Sunday at Finger Lakes Community College.
