
The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team opened its home schedule in style Sunday, posting a 3-0 win over Niagara County Community College. The Panthers are now 1-2 while Niagara falls to 0-4.
The first goal came from Jonnathan Camas (Spring Valley/Spring Valley H.S.) in the 27th minute, and Jovan Williams (Scotchtown/Pine Bush H.S.) added the second goal in the 39th minute. After the game went to the half with the score 2-0, Camas tacked on an insurance goal in the 75th minute, making the final 3-0.
Dylon Conklin (Moravia/Southern Cayuga H.S.) earned the win in goal, his first. The win was also the first of the career for first-year coach Patrick Arancio.
The Panthers look to build on the win when they return to action at home against Erie Community College on Saturday.
