Iannello Hat Trick Paces Panthers

A hat trick from Padraic Iannello (Dryden H.S./Dryden) helped the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team to a 4-2 win at Corning Community College Wednesday. Tompkins Cortland's record is now 7-4 overall, 7-3 in Region III, and 2-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning is now 2-10 overall, 2-9 in Region III, and 1-3 in the MSAC.

After a quiet start to the game, the game's first score came from Adam Nichols (Candor H.S./Candor) in the 37th minute of play. The goal sparked the Panthers offense, with Iannello making it 2-0 five minutes later and then soring again in the final minute of the half to make it 3-0. Iannello completed his hat trick early in the second half, making the lead 4-0. Corning netted a pair of scores in the second half, but the Panthers finished the game with the 4-2 win.

The Panthers next play at Finger Lakes Community College Saturday.
