Panthers End Skid with Win Over Mohawk Valley

Scoring from five players helped the Panthers lacrosse team get back in the win column with a 12-3 win over Mohawk Valley Community College Friday. TC3 is now 2-3 overall and 2-2 in Region 3. Mohawk Valley falls to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in Region 3.

The Panther never trailed, jumping ahead 4-0 after the first quarter and 8-1 at the half. Kenyen Lovett (Rochester/West Irondequoit H.S.) led the way with five goals, scoring at least once in each quarter. Thomas Kirnie (Victor/Newark H.S.) finished with five points on two goals and three assists. Odanell Gonzalez (Queens/Jamaica H.S.) had two goals and Brayden Kitterle (Syracuse/Bishop Ludden H.S.) and Dillon Farrell (Endicott/Union-Endicott H.S.) each had one. Skylar Running Rabbit (Siksika Nation, Alberta/Strathmore H.S.) added an assist.

Goalie Declan Vail (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) earned the win in the pipes with 10 saves. Faceoff specialist Qymani Viera-Powell (Endicott/Union-Endicott H.S.) was locked in as well, winning 9-of-10 in the circle.
