Playing at home for the last time this season, the Panthers lacrosse team never could get things going in a 13-3 loss to Herkimer College on Saturday. The Panthers are now 2-5 on the season while Herkimer is 3-3 overall and 2-3 in Region III.

Herkimer scored four times in each of the first three quarters, while limiting the Panthers to single goals in the second and third. Each team scored once in the final quarter to get to the 13-3 final.

Pat Hartnett (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) had two points on a goal and an assist. Dante Cuttino (Tully/Tully H.S.) and Leslie Hines (Jamaica/Wingate Campus) each had a goal with Jacob Lewis (Freeville/Dryden H.S.) and Tyler Ponticello (Homer/Homer H.S.) each recording an assist. Ben Pallone (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) had 13 saves in goal.
