Tompkins Cortland Community College brought home a seventh-place finish at Saturday's Onondaga Invitational at Sunset Ridge Golf Club in Marcellus. The Panthers carded a team score of 348. Niagara County Community College topped the eight-team field with a score of 307.

For the second straight tournament, the Panthers were led by two golfers finishing in the top ten. Patrick O'Neill (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) took top honors with a 77 with Zachary Jacobson (East Amherst/Williamsville East H.S.) a stroke back at 78. Diego Castellot (Marathon/Marathon H.S.) fired a 96, one ahead of Harrison Conn (Marlboro/Marlboro H.S.) at 97. Stanley Trevits (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) had the biggest improvement over the first tournament, cutting 14 strokes off to finish with a 98.

Looking ahead

The Panthers take part in the Mohawk Valley Community College tournament Friday.
