Comeback Win Snaps Three-Game Skid

The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team snapped its season-worst three-game losing streak Sunday with a comeback road win. Playing at Columbia-Greene Community College, the Panthers rallied from a 42-24 halftime deficit to top the Twins 69-63. The win leaves the Panthers with a record of 6-8 overall and 6-6 in Region III. Columbia-Greene falls to 7-10 overall and 4-9 in region.

The Panthers got to 69 points with a balanced attack. Mario Antenor (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Coconut Creek H.S.) paced the team with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, adding 5 steals. Shareef Ali (Queens/Martin Van Buren H.S.) also had a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards and Anthony Simpson (Bay Shore/Bay Shore H.S.) had a big line of 14 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

The Panthers return to Mid-State Athletic Conference action Wednesday at Cayuga Community College.
