Fox and Buckley Earn Region 3 Recognition

Garrett Fox and Ethan Buckley

A pair of Panthers baseball players have earned more postseason honors. Garrett Fox (Tully/Tully H.S.) has been voted second team all-region for Region 3 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Fox and Ethan Buckley (Bath/Haverling H.S.) have been named to the Region 3 Glove Team, a group of the 11 best defenders in the region.

Fox, a freshman shortstop, is Tompkins Cortland's eighth all-region selection. He started every game and played every inning, hitting .333 with a .920 fielding percentage.

Buckley, a sophomore, split time between pitching and second base. He played in 22 of the 23 games this year, sporting a .915 fielding percentage. His range was impressive, making plays on balls most fielders wouldn't get to, often in spectacular fashion.  His 39 assists was second only to Fox, who had 50.

Buckley and Fox bring the total to five Panthers to ever win a spot on the Glove Team.
