Tompkins Cortland has placed four players on the Mid-State Athletic Conference baseball all-conference team. In voting by the coaches from the five MSAC program to field teams this season, Vinny Perrotta (New Hartford/New Hartford H.S.), Caleb Thompson (Cortland/Cortland H.S.), Garrett Fox (Tully/Tully H.S.), and Luke Ough (Edmeston/Edmeston H.S.) were selected as part of the 16-player team. Conference-champion Finger Lakes Community College lead the team with five selections. The Panthers finished 2021 with a conference record of 8-5, good for second best in the MSAC.

Ough, a freshman, was the top vote-getter among catchers selected all-conference. His .420 batting average led the team, as did his .534 on-base percentage. His 13 RBI tied him for the team lead and his 7 stolen bases was tops among Panthers.

Fox, also in his first season with Tompkins Cortland, was second on the team in hitting with a .333 batting average while playing spectacular defense at shortstop. He led the team with 50 assists and was second in stolen bases with six.

Thompson was able to take the mound for the first time this spring after the 2020 campaign was cancelled. He was as dominant in stretches as any pitcher in the region, especially during the playoff run at the end of the season when he tossed two complete game shutouts. He had a team-best ERA of 2.37 while finishing 3-3 and striking out 33 batters in 30.1 inning of work.

Perrotta, Tompkins Cortland's lone selection with previous collegiate playing experience, hit .316 from the leadoff spot. The center fielder had the most at-bats on the team and two separate six-game hitting streaks over the course of the season.
