A record-setting performance that helped the Panthers to a win makes Jah-Mel Bruce the Panthers Athlete of the Week.
Bruce has led the Panthers in scoring all season, but this week he put his name in the record books on the defensive end. In the win over Clinton, the freshman registered 13 steals, breaking the 22-year-old TC3 record for steals in a game. His effort was part of his fifth double-double of the season, and almost part of an extremely rare quadruple-double as he finished with a line of 23 points, 13 steals, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. It was the first time this season he reached double-figures in steals, but it helped the Panthers set a new team record for steals in a game with 28.
