The sophomore leader of the men's basketball team - Marqiis Samuels is the Panthers Athlete of the Week.

This was a big week for the Panthers in their pursuit of a second-straight Mid-State Athletic Conference championship. Playing at Corning on Wednesday, Samuels led the team to an 85-71 win, scoring 20 points while also recording 4 steals, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. He followed that up with an epic performance in Saturday's 88-86 double-overtime win over Finger Lakes.  Playing all 50 minutes of the marathon win, Samuels again was the leading scorer, finishing with 19 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. The wins improve the Panthers to 7-1 in conference, alone in first place entering the second half of the MSAC schedule.
