Panthers Drop Pair to Genesee

The Panthers baseball team dropped a pair to Genesee Community College on Monday, 14-3 and 12-3. The losses drop Tompkins Cortland to 5-29 overall and 5-25 in the West Division. Genesee is 22-19 overall and 20-9 in the West Division.

Game One: Genesee 14, Tompkins Cortland 3  

Game Two: Genesee 12, Tompkins Cortland 3 

Frank Marra (Millstone Townships, N.J./Allentown H.S.) had a good day at the plate, going a combined 3-for-6 with a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base. Noboru Shinohara (Tokyo, Japan/Dokkyo Saitama) and Jason Winstanley (Lewiston/Lewiston-Porter H.S.) each had a pair of hits in game one, and Tim Bowerman (Spencerport/Spencerport H.S.) and John Touchette (Tully/Tully H.S.) each had two hits in game two.

Looking ahead

The Panthers final doubleheader of the season is Tuesday at home vs. Finger Lakes Community College. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. in Dryden.
