Learning Continues for Panthers Cross Country

The learning continues for the first-year cross country program at Tompkins Cortland Community College. On Saturday, the Panthers took part in the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo. As the only two-year college among the field of 24 teams, the Panthers posted a team score of 772. Geneseo won the event with a score of 33, followed by Ithaca College in second with a score of 78. SUNY Cortland was ninth with a 292.

Robert Brehm (Groton/Groton H.S.) was 266th out of 314 individuals, leading the Panthers with a time of 33:47

Griffin Scarlata (Groton/Groton H.S.) was next at 39:00, followed by Andrew McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) at 43:49. Logan Lancaster (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) crossed the line at 48:12, just ahead of Tanner Sorbera (Burlington Flats/Edmeston H.S.) at 48:15. Elijah Speight (Ithaca/Dryden H.S.) made his season debut with a 51:39.

The Panthers take part in Megan Memorial at Hilbert College on Saturday, October 5.
